A unique hillside villa with superb and uninterrupted sea views to East and to West for dreamy mornings and romantic evenings and to the 3 nearest bays (Agios Gordios, Kontoyalos and Glyfada). It is located above Agios Gordios beach, only 5 min drive, and Corfu Town/ airport/ port about 20 min drive. The villa accommodates 7 persons total, including children and infants

The villa, is 200 sq.m. in a land of 2500sq.m., full of olive trees, in a quiet location but everything to hand within 3 mins in the car. It has a family feel with tasteful decoration and good sized rooms not usual for modern rented villas. It consists of 3 bedrooms, (2 doubles, 1 twin) 2 en suite bathrooms & 1 family bathroom, spacious living-dinning area, separated kitchen, shaded terraces, floral garden with lawn, plenty area with lush wild vegetation, private parking and a modern private pool. Designed to integrate naturally with the mountain’s massive boulders and the lush surrounding, fully furnished & equipped and tastefully decorated, will be enjoyable, inspiring and above all, relaxing for unforgeable holiday experience.

HISTORY
And the story begins in the 17th century when the local rulers were looking for the most appropriate place to save the village from the pillaging of pirates.They were searching for a location from which they would clearly see the pirates’ ships approaching all the surrounding beaches. Everyone agreed that this place was the property of the Doukaki family. It was the highest point on the hill that perfectly served their purpose. They set shifts(“vardia” in greek) for six hours so the area was never left unattended. Since then, the area is called Vardia(shift) as well as the villa built ,by the newest family member, Mrs Anna Doukaki.
